Toys 'R' Us Launches Cash for Cribs

In a new program modeled after the government's "cash for clunkers" program, Toys 'R' Us will accept used cribs, car seats, and other children's items in exchange for a store discount. This 3- week program begins August 28 and ends September 20. There is no limit to the number of products that can be traded in for 20% off selected items.

This event was started as a response to the numerous recalls on baby products. Missed safety recalls and changing safety standards can pose a hazard to children. When people sell secondhand baby and kid's products, they may unknowingly be passing on a dangerous product.
