It's not always easy to tell on some subjects when you're getting medical facts versus personal opinions from your pediatrician. For a new mom it can be especially daunting to consider doubting the advice of the expert, but on a few things it's probably better to stick with your own instincts and preferences.
Some examples of things that you can question include:
- Don't pick up your baby in the middle of the night.
- Baby should be at home with Mom
- Don't give your baby 'triple nipple confusion'
- Your baby must eat solid foods by 6 months
- You must take the pacifier away
