When To Question Your Pediatrician's Advice

http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/family/03/13/ep.pediatrician.advice/index.html

It's not always easy to tell on some subjects when you're getting medical facts versus personal opinions from your pediatrician. For a new mom it can be especially daunting to consider doubting the advice of the expert, but on a few things it's probably better to stick with your own instincts and preferences.

Some examples of things that you can question include:

  1. Don't pick up your baby in the middle of the night.
  2. Baby should be at home with Mom
  3. Don't give your baby 'triple nipple confusion'
  4. Your baby must eat solid foods by 6 months
  5. You must take the pacifier away
